Tanguy is incredibly friendly, and his depth of knowledge about the French language is just mind-blowing. Having a teacher who speaks such perfect English was a definite plus because he could immediately pinpoint and explain our difficulties. I loved that he used comparisons to English structures to help us grasp the core differences. The afternoon excursions were the best—we were taken to real, non-touristy locations. My absolute favorite moment was when we visited this small, incredible butcher shop that also served as a restaurant; the people there were true French meat artisans. This program was an absolutely amazing experience. I would recommend this French immersion to anyone who wants to solidify the French theory in the mornings and then immediately apply that knowledge in the real world—it’s the perfect blend.
Tanguy is a great teacher, very patient, and totally accessible. He’s always right there to help us navigate the language in real-time, which is super reassuring, especially when you’re ordering in French! The restaurants he selected were excellent. We enjoyed a fabulous crêperie, a fantastic Basque spot, an authentic Southwestern French meat specialist, and two classic French bistros. It was a true culinary tour of France!
I also really loved the cultural excursions with the local experts and getting to properly explore different arrondissements.
